Truth Bird Summary
The Truth Bird is a science fction tale of two teenage boys, Sam and David, who were born with special powers, one of which is the gift of flying through space in their dreams. One day during a flight, they meet the Star God Giorgio, who befriends them and gives them the gift of physical flight. He also gives them bracelets to communicate with him and tells them that they will be called upon in the future to be of service.
Because of the division and political chaos on earth, Giorgio is commissioned by heaven to help solve some of the problems and calls upon the boys to help. Giorgio himself is an elected official in the alien community, which consists primarily of greys, buzzards and bigfoots. Dealing with his own political spin in space, his goal is to change the catastrophic course Earth is on because not only does he believe it’s the right thing but, if he succeeds, he will get the funding he needs for his space infrastructure project.

The boys then kick off a truth campaign in an attempt to get a heath care bill passed by pulling off a Watergate type of caper assisted by Giorgio from the star castle. While discussing the mission’s outcome, they mull over ideas on how to address global warming, which also affects the alien community. Based on an off the cuff comment by David’s father, they hatch a bizarre plan to combat the propaganda campaign against Global warming put out by Fox News. Because of all the media spinning that has metastasized during the current administration, Giorgio brings the Truth Bird out of retirement to help in the effort.
What Motivated Me to Act
I wrote The Truth Bird because I’ve never had a more unsettling feeling about our countries future. Watching some of our leaders spread false hoods and conspiracies theories was sad and unconscionable. But watching it spread like a cancer and the effects it’s having on our country including people close to me has driven me more than anything to do something. Historical scholars are all pointing to the history books for good reason. This textbook craft has been historically proven to work and is not designed for the good of all people. What is the end game? What are they trying to achieve? What do you think will happen to opposition voices if a leader is able to topple our judicial branch, silence our media and is able to take control of our congress and the justice department?
These are the questions we have to ask. This has happened throughout world history, and in some cases America had to come to the aid of our allies to defend human rights against genocide. We are all American and this is doing nothing but driving us apart. I would ask those who are peddling these abominable tales to think hard about what they are doing, and if they truly love our country to show some humility and stop doing it. For all people who are confused about which side is being truthful, do the leg work and check the facts through independent fact checking organizations or the history channels website for their side before drawing a conclusion.
